This one comes on the heels of Saturn retrograde in Aries — warrior energy turned inward, under Saturn's sense of right and wrong. Felt like the right time to talk about Medusa.
In the version of her myth I keep returning to, she was a priestess assaulted by Poseidon, then punished for it by Athena — cursed into the very thing people feared to look at. Perseus later kills her in her sleep, and her severed head eventually ends up mounted on Athena's own armor: victim blamed, then repurposed as protection for the goddess who punished her. She never gets justice in this story. Just a pattern that shows up again and again across myth, aimed at women.
